Jan 15th − #HouseofVansBerlin x Boiler Room present an epic night featuring Angel Haze, Lapalux, Kode9 and more.
Leatherette kicked things off with their own brand of electronica, with a little fun mixed in to get the crowd going. Next Boiler Room introduced one of electronic music's rising stars, Lapalux, stepping things up as he took to the decks with an atmospheric set and his "distinctively British" tones. As midnight approached, Lapalux's made way for the night's highlight; Angel Haze. Taking the stage with her explosively confessional rap, she launched into her set with Werkin Girls before performing tracks from her recently self-leaked album, Dirty Gold. With the darkly poetic Black Dahlia and her forthcoming inspirational single, Battle Cry, Angel Haze had the packed floor hyped.
Marking a stark contrast to the acclaimed American rapper, Dam-Funk was next up, chilling the room with his signature blend of Boogie-Funk before Kode9 shook things up by dropping a heavy mix of dubstep, house, hip-hop and his typically eclectic selection of big tunes.
As the night drew to a close, the days trade shows, fashion shows and the House of Vans' exhibitions seemed a long time ago as the 1,000 strong crowd poured out onto the cold streets of Berlin.
